About this boat

CASABLANCA'S layout features two (2) spacious cabins and a third office/cabin. The large saloon/galley is perfect for informal gatherings or formal dining, and for al fresco dining there is the fully covered aft deck. Spaces are bright and airy with plenty of natural light and ventilation. One of Krogen's hallmarks is the large living space for owners and guests, all within a true-blue water cruiser capable of crossing oceans or exploring coastal hideaways.

CASABLANCA has four (4) control stations, making maneuvering stressless whether in open water or close quarters. Outdoor spaces are wide open yet still feel secure underway, thanks to substantial bulwarks and robust stainless-steel rails.

If you are looking for a go-anywhere vessel that is built like a battleship, but doesn't look like one, CASABLANCA should definitely be on your radar.

Overview

CASABLANCA has been under the current owners' (second) command for the past eleven (11) years, during which time she has received constant care, maintenance, and upgrades. All services are up-to-date, and she is turn-key ready.

One of the Krogen hallmarks is the large living spaces for owners and guests, all incorporated in a true blue water cruiser capable of crossing oceans or exploring coastal hideaways.

CASABLANCA has four (4) control stations, making maneuvering stressless whether in open water or close quarters. Outdoor spaces are wide open yet provide a real sense of security underway by virtue of substantial bulwarks and robust stainless-steel rails.

Exterior Overview

The Krogen 58’ features an asymmetrical deck arrangement. The port side of the main deck extends out to the sheer, while the starboard side offers a particularly wide walkaround with a hip-high bulwark and an aluminum Dutch door providing access to the galley. The side deck and aft deck are fully covered with solid teak decking. The aft deck also features a cabinet with a stainless-steel freshwater sink and storage, as well as twin 50-amp Glendinning Cablemasters with powered extension and retraction.

Molded fiberglass steps lead forward from the starboard side deck to the Portuguese bridge and foredeck. A starboard wing station makes close-quarters maneuvering easy, while the Portuguese bridge itself offers generous storage. Aluminum Dutch doors on both the port and starboard sides provide access to the pilothouse, and double doors lead to the foredeck. Immediately forward of the Portuguese bridge, the foredeck features seating with integrated storage, high bulwarks, and stainless-steel rails for added safety. An aluminum Freeman hatch, located to port of the bow pulpit, provides access to the chain locker and additional storage.

Aft of the port side of the pilothouse, molded steps lead up to the boat deck and flybridge, which is surrounded by high stainless-steel safety rails. The tender and hydraulic crane are located on the boat deck, along with access to storage beneath the flybridge. Molded fiberglass steps lead up to the flybridge, which features L-shaped seating with a table, twin helm chairs, and an upper helm station.

Accommodations

Forward is the spacious owner's cabin, featuring an ensuite head, queen-size island berth, two large hanging lockers, mirrored bureau, bulkhead-mounted TV, four large opening ports, two overhead screened hatches, and abundant storage throughout. With no hard chines or spray rails, the experience at anchor is particularly peaceful and almost therapeutic.

Immediately to port upon entering the owner's cabin is the ensuite head. It features a Planus freshwater toilet, vanity with mirrored cabinets, large opening stainless-steel port, exhaust fan, and a spacious stall shower with molded seats, opening stainless-steel port, and aluminum bi-fold door. The sole is finished in multicolored ceramic tile.

Forward of the saloon/galley is the office/guest cabin to port. Accommodations include a settee that converts to a large single berth, hanging locker, bookshelves, two large opening stainless-steel ports, and a desk with drawer and cabinet storage. As throughout the lower-level accommodation areas, fitted carpeting provides a comfortable finish.

Opposite the office/guest cabin is the starboard guest cabin, featuring twin berths, a hanging locker, two opening stainless-steel ports, generous drawer storage, and private access to the guest/day head. The cabin is fully carpeted.

Forward of the starboard guest cabin is the guest/day head, with access from both the guest cabin and the companionway. It features a vanity with mirrored medicine cabinet, Planus freshwater toilet, exhaust fan, and a spacious stall shower with an opening stainless-steel port and aluminum bi-fold door. The sole is finished in multicolored ceramic tile.

Opposite the guest/day head is the laundry area, equipped with an Asko washer and dryer.

Saloon

Entering the saloon through double aluminum weather-tight doors with retractable screens, you are immediately welcomed by a bright and airy atmosphere. Opening windows to port and starboard, as well as in the aft bulkhead, provide excellent natural light and ventilation.

To starboard is an L-shaped settee with a freestanding, expandable hi-lo table, ideal for cocktails or formal dining. To port are two swivel recliners with a side table. Both the settee and recliners are upholstered in Ultraleather. A flat-screen TV is mounted on the forward bulkhead. The windows are dressed with drapes, shades, and cherry valances, while an area rug complements the cherry parquet flooring.

Galley

Forward of the saloon is the open-faced, in-line galley to starboard. To port is a buffet server featuring drawer and cabinet storage, bottle storage, book and display shelves, and a large pantry.

Major galley components include:

• JennAir French-door refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer

• Viking 4-burner propane stove/oven with tile backsplash

• GE convection microwave oven

• U-Line beverage center

• U-Line ice maker

• 2 x Stainless steel sinks

• Corian countertops

• Aluminum side-entry Dutch-door

Pilothouse and Lower Helm

Up and forward from the saloon/galley is the pilothouse, offering commanding views for both captain and guests. The pilothouse features a Stidd helm seat for the captain and a raised, L-shaped Ultraleather settee for guests, which also converts to a double berth when needed. In addition to panoramic visibility, excellent natural ventilation is provided by two overhead hatches, two opening ports, and aluminum Dutch doors to both port and starboard. Full-size chart tables provide ample space for plotting the next exotic destination, while the ship-like helm layout gives the captain quick and convenient access to all navigation instruments and controls.

Flybridge

Exiting the pilothouse to port and proceeding aft brings you to the boat deck, with tender storage and a Nautical Structures power-rotating davit, followed by the flybridge. A few steps up, the flybridge features two pedestal-mounted helm seats, L-shaped seating with a table, and a Venturi windscreen.

There is generous storage beneath the flybridge, accessible through two doors. A Trident propane locker is mounted outboard on the starboard side of the flybridge, and the Starlink antenna is mounted just forward of the tender.

The mast can be lowered, making CASABLANCA suitable for cruising America's Great Loop.
